Ms. Mary started baking goods in order to help those in her church who were famished. With the blazing sun beating down on the men of the church who were helping volunteer, Ms. Mary knew that they would need energy and sustenance to keep going.
Ms. Mary turned to her background of baking to provide this sustenance. Instead of using ingredients that would slow down the men of the church, keep their brains foggy, and bodies tired, Ms. Mary used healthy ingredients that would boost their immune systems, keep their energy levels high and allow them to keep on working in the hot summer heat.
The church celebrated Ms. Mary for her bread and urged her to bring the cherished baked goods to the community so that it can help everyone else as it did internally.
